Or how I like to call it “My rorqy”.

With my entrance in TBW and especially when I let Magister know I can fly and use Rorqual, my days in PvP were numbered. Next thing I know is I have this huge industrial ship with no knowledge of flying a capital and with no experience at all in the processes Rorqual is equiped for. This ignorance came to hunt me very soon.

The sole concept of capitals is simple:

1. They are slow! Very slow! Slow at turning, slow at flying, slow at warping.
2. They are really, really, really slow!!!
3. Once again 1. and 3.

Well ok, they are also good at some things:

1. They can cyno jump.
2. While jumping they can cary a lot of stuff inside of them.
3. Rorqual has also a special ability to compress raw ore, thus making it much easier to transport.

I guess the pluses were more worth then the minuses, so I took My Rorqy and decided I’ll learn how to use it for the benefit of the corp.

First thing I done when accepting the contract from Magister and activating the ship was turning on my premium graphics and just staring into it. She is big. My Rorqy is really big. And bullish, unwieldy, lumpy, not at all looks like a ship. She looks like a flying pile of scrapmetal. But I said, hey, its not the look that matters. And I was right.

Although, the beginning was not easy. Aparently you have to learn the skills for compressing each ore separately, and each skill to level 4, so that took me a while untill I was able to compress at least one ore type. Soon that barrier was overwhelmed just to get to another one.

I had it all prepared, skills for each ore ready, Blueprints for each ore ready, enough Heavy Water to fuel the Industrial Core, ore ready in cargo hold, My Rorqy deployed in compression mode, first batch of Sharp Crokite started compressing, and then, after 35-40 seconds of compression nothing. Job dissapeared, Blueprint is gone, ore is gone too, nothing happened. At once cold sweat runs over my forehead, I start thinking what did I do wrong? Do I have all the skills needed? I hope I didn’t ruined the Blueprint?

Of course, it was such a banality I wanted to shoot myself. Naturaly it was someone else that helped me, an alliance member Magister found somewhere, who went through each step with me to see where did I go wrong. I forgot to say that I also petitioned about it (lol). Anyway, we went through all the steps untill we came to the part “Delivery”. Now I knew you have to deliver the compressed ore somewhere, and I did specified that I want it delivered to the same location the ore was taken from. But what I did not know is that you have to do it manualy, that is, open the Science and Industry window, find active jobs and pres the “Deliver” button. I did that and the Blueprint came out together with compressed ore. Oh joy!

So, the compression went smoothly from that moment on and we have already several runs of compressed ore to Empire with nice earnings to all of our corp members.
